Working together to protect sea turtles and their habitats worldwide...

International League of Conservation Photographers (ILCP)

Established in 2005 with forty of the most acclaimed photographers of our generation, the ILCP has grown to become the world’s premier association of wildlife and nature photographers committing their work to conservation. Our mission is to further environmental and cultural conservation through ethical photography, one that embraces the principles and values of photojournalism, while at the same time achieving this through non-interference, truthfulness and disclosure.

Photography is a critical element in the conservation toolbox. It allows conservationists to cut across boundaries of illiteracy and indifference and spark awareness of our fundamental kinship and obligation to nature. Moreover, it is a powerful art form that can enlighten and move people to action. We believe that awe-inspiring photography is a powerful force for the environment, especially when paired with the collaboration of committed scientists, politicians, religious leaders and policy makers. The ILCP’s ultimate goal is to replace environmental indifference with a new culture of stewardship and passion for a beautiful planet.
