Team

The SWOT Team is the lifeblood of the SWOT initiative. This ever-growing international group of scientists, conservationists, artists, and concerned citizens, works together to achieve an otherwise unattainable common goal.

SWOT Team members contribute all of the individual inputs that go into SWOT products. Side by side, the SWOT Team is generating a truly global perspective of sea turtles and forging global solutions to global problems.

Meet the SWOT Team, the individuals and organizations who have joined forces to further global sea turtle and marine conservation.

These select SWOT Team members have spent long hours on beaches and in boats, confronting the unpredictable in order to gather all of the data you see represented in our maps.

The annual SWOT Outreach Grant program is designed to support projects that use the SWOT Report and related content in local efforts to inspire conservation action. Not only do these grants provide needed support to field-based education initiatives, they also encourage SWOT Team members to think creatively about ways to use SWOT content and tools in their work.

SWOT places special emphasis on inspiring conservation through outreach and awareness. Reaching far beyond the hands of conservationists, SWOT Report has made its way into schools, governments, coastal communities and the fishing industry, and into the hands of general consumers who otherwise may not have realized their effect on ocean life.
