I believe deeply in the importance of building capacity of local individuals for long-term sustainability and my research interests include socioeconomic dimensions of natural resource management.
I have worked extensively on novel capacity-building programmes and recently authored and set up an internationally-recognized Park Ranger training course in Nicaragua. I am planning to develop further regional training programmes in the Western Indian Ocean in collaboration with local universities.
